If you’re thinking of getting away to somewhere along the Queensland coast and need an idea of where to go then why not try the Fraser Coast’s very own Hervey Bay. Hervey Bay is a fantastic holiday destination that has so much to see and do.

Located just 3.5 hours drive from Brisbane makes it easily accessable for a lovely weekend away.
Hervey Bay is said to be one of Australia’s quickest growing cities and is the gateway to many fantastic tourist activities including whale watching which also gives you the chance to see the beautiful dolphins.
Not only is Hervey Bay one of the largest whale watching destinations but it is also the prime destination to leave for the world heritage listed Fraser Island.
Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island and offers a wide range of tours and activities ranging from 4wd day tours, safari’s, camping, fishing, or even the chance to relax by the poolside at the fabulous Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Hervey Bay offers beachfront walks just along the esplanade which is where many of the fantastic hotels are located. Hervey Bay is growing fast so there’s always new, bigger, and better hotels popping up.
So what are you waiting for? Next time you want to plan a getaway, whether it be for a couple or the whole family - Hervey Bay on the Fraser Coast is the perfect holiday destination for you.
If you’re after south pacific holiday ideas, then look no further - Fiji is a great holiday destination that’s sure to make everybodies holiday an enjoyable and relaxing one.
I have recently implemented a new most-popular destinations section to the TravelOnline homepage and we came to the decision that Fiji should be the first item in the list because of it’s popularity so I thought it would be a good idea to let people know about the great deals going.
What I’ve noticed is that so many of the fiji holidays are just as expensive as the main holiday destinations within Australia, including the exclusive island resorts. There’s just so many fiji specials and packages that all you need is a plane ticket and you’re well on your way to a fantastic south pacific holiday getaway. Some of the packages are all-inclusive too so you don’t even have to worry about paying extra for food and drinks.
Fiji has some fantastic resorts and holiday accommodation options, many which have beautiful ocean views. Some of the main resorts include the Shangri La Fijian Resort and Spa, and Naviti Resort Fiji, both which are very highly rated and come recommended by everybody that stays there on their holiday.
That’s about all I have for now, so make sure that you consider Fiji for your next holiday destination!
One of Australia’s must see holiday destinations in North Queensland is none other than Port Douglas.
Port Douglas is the home of the famous 4 mile beach and is situated on the coast between the fabulous Daintree rainforest and the spectacular Great Barrier Reef so it is the perfect gateway to all these, Cape York, Palm Cove, and many more fantastic holiday destinations. Being only 50 minutes drive from Cairns it is the perfect escape for anybody travelling in North Queensland.
Port Douglas offers a wide range of tours and activities which range from cruises, rainforest dinners, day tours, snorkelling, diving and even scenic flights. Everybody is sure to have a great time when there’s just so much on offer.
When you’re not out having a great time then you’ll definitely get a chance to relax as Port Douglas accommodation is like no other. In Port Douglas there is a rule that no building can be taller than that of the tallest palm tree, so you’re always going to have a great view. Many of the Port Douglas resorts, like the Sea Temple Resort & Spa have great day spa facilities so after a day out of shopping you can just come home and relax without a worry in the world.
After looking over the Port Douglas Specials on offer it’s apparent that there’s heaps of great choices that will suit everyone, whether it be the person who wants a full blown holiday with lots of inclusions to the person who would rather just find a place to stay and explore Port Douglas in their own time. Either way, it looks like a fantastic holiday destination and I’m sure it would make for a great week away.
The Northern Territory is home to some of Australia’s national icons when it comes to tours and holiday destinations. The most well known destination is Ayers Rock (also known as Uluru), which is located in Australia’s Red Centre. While that’s the main one, there’s just so much more available that I was not aware of until I looked over all the tours and activities that are on offer for the Northern Territory and outback areas.
The types of tours that are offered are also quite comprehensive, ranging from day tours, camping tours, even accommodated tours - which all give you the opportunity to look at some of Australia’s most spectacular sights of the outback. Once you’ve decided on which type of tour suits your tastes the next step is to make the very hard choice of where exactly you want to go. There’s just so many that I’m sure this is going to be the hardest decision for everyone.
Currently on offer is tours for Alice Springs, Arnhem Land, Ayers Rock, Darwin, Kakadu, Katherine and Litchfield National Park all of which have many wonderful things to see and do. Each of these have all of the tour types available.
If you’re the type of person who would rather go along to each of these and many more fantastic tourist attractions in your own time and at your own speed then there’s of course also a range of Northern Territory Accommodation in all of the major locations so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding something suitable.
As usual, if anybody does go to the Northern Territory Outback and does go on any of these fantastic tours available then make sure to leave a comment and let everybody know all about it.
Whenever I do some development work I have this habit of using the same page for all of my testing, whether it be trying new images, page styles, or running sample quotes. Cypress Lakes Resort in the beautiful wine country of Hunter Valley seems to be the lucky page that I do all my testing on.
Ever since the first time I read through the pages on Hunter Valley I’ve been wanting to take a weekend away to visit one of the many wineries, go on a vineyard tour, and of course - taste some of the fantastic wines on offer. With the help of some wine demonstrations and guides from the local experts I’d hope to have a matching platter of food to complement the wine too.
The Hunter Valley is not too far from Sydney, approximately 2 hours drive so it’s the perfect getaway for anybody living in and around the Sydney area - if only it was that close to Brisbane where I live.
Hunter Valley offers much more than just wine and vineyards though, there is also a plethora of tours and activities that are available which range from arts & crafts, golf, horse riding, the cheese factory tour and for the more adventurous - hot air ballooning, which something that I would definitely love to do if I ever get the chance to go.
I have come across many interesting places as I’ve browsed through the site and can say that every property and resort would make for a fantastic weekend away. There is so much Hunter Valley accommodation available that no matter what you like you’ll always be sure to find something that appeals to you.
I’ve just had a look through our Hunter Valley Specials and have found some great prices too so maybe it’s not just a case of me wishing I was there while I’m supposed to be working and it will actually happen some time. So until then, if anybody goes make sure to leave your comments on your experience!
Hello and welcome to mustsee.com.au!
To start off I guess I’ll introduce myself. My name is Dan Wall and I work for an online travel company, TravelOnline.com. We offer a wide range of services, including accommodation, tour packages, travel insurance, 4wd rental, theme park tickets, the list goes on. My primary role at TravelOnline is as a web programmer although I perform many other general day to day tasks in my role.
Working for a travel company has some great perks, mainly being that I get to look at many great holiday destinations throughout the day. These include anything from the sunny beaches of the Gold Coast in Queensland, the great city sights of Sydney in New South Wales, tropical rainforests at the Daintree in North Queensland to the relaxing wine country such as Hunter Valley in New South Wales and Margaret River in Western Australia.
Since I get to look at all the wonderful things these fantastic holiday destinations have to offer I thought that it would be a shame not to let everybody know about them. So that’s what this site is all about - me telling the world about all the wonderful and exciting places I discover while at work and hopefully hear some experiences from people who have had the chance to take a holiday there. I may even have some insider information on great deals and accommodation specials!
So keep tuned and I’ll be sure to post some great information on places to go and things to do if you’re planning a holiday or just want to get away for the weekend.
